Implementation of a Pilot Project for Smart Waste Collection and Transportation in Four Villages of Slakram Commune, Siem Reap City, Siem Reap Province.
Siem Reap: On Thursday, June 13, 2024, a pilot project was launched in four villages within Slakram Commune, Siem Reap City. This project, part of a broader initiative to modernize waste management in the area, focuses on the smart collection and transportation of waste using advanced internet-based systems.
The villages involved—Slakram, Boeng Don Pa, Bantay Chas, and Dak Por—are currently participating in this trial, which utilizes a mobile application named “Smart Clean Siem Reap.” The app aims to streamline waste collection processes, making them more efficient and environmentally friendly.
The project was carried out along the road behind Wat Bo Pagoda, marking an important step towards adopting innovative waste management solutions in Siem Reap.
